Accounts Receivable Clerk

NexSource Power, two-time recipient of Business of the Year Award, is looking for a highly motivated Accounts Receivable Clerk with a customer first attitude to join our Sylvan Lake Sales & Rentals Division. NexSource is a privately-owned business with a focus on continuing to build a relevant, dynamic company that provides industry leading value to our current and future customers.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years’ Accounts Receivable experience
  • Comfortable making collection calls
  • Proven ability to turnover accounts receivable by investigating and resolving issues
  • Working knowledge of Sage50 is an asset
  • Strong written and computer skills; intermediate level Excel skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Attention to detail and a very high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Send out customer statements
  • Make collection calls; create and distribute collection call reports
  • Resolve discrepancies on customer accounts
  • Ensure tickets and requests to invoice are compliant; create invoices
  • Scan invoice packages before sending to customers
  • Upload invoices to online platform (Cortex, Open Invoice, etc.) and/or mail/email invoices
  • Process intercompany invoicing of services
  • Set up new customers and perform ongoing maintenance of customer accounts
  • Maintain historical records for accounts receivable transactions until invoices are paid
  • Ensure month end duties are completed within time frames
  • Represent and promote corporate goals
  • Assist with other accounting and administrative duties as assigned, including phone back up

Liquid Meter Prover – Sylvan Lake, Rocky Mountain House & Olds Area

This position is NOT a camp/out of town position, so it provides the awesome opportunity to be home every night, 99% of the time.

The successful candidates must have:

  • Proving and/or Instrumentation experience and knowledge of oil and gas facilities is required

  • Experience in Instrumentation construction and maintenance within the Oil & Gas sector
  • SCADA programming and maintenance experience
  • A professional and respectful attitude with a strong customer service focus

JOURNEYMEN:

  • Install, repair and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation and control equipment in the industrial Oil & Gas sector
  • Use pneumatic, electrical and electronic testing devices and precision measuring instruments to inspect and test operation of instruments and systems to diagnose faults
  • Perform installation/calibration of process control instrumentation such as transmitters, controllers, analyzers and control valves
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, and complete test and maintenance reports
  • Respectfully mentor and guide apprentices; lead by example
  • Adhere to all company and client health and safety guidelines and regulations
  • Ensure paperwork is completed timely and legibly; complete QA/QC documentation
  • Be part of on call schedule
  • Look for opportunities to promote efficiencies
  • Represent NexSource in a positive light

APPRENTICES:

  • Assist Journeymen in the performance of instrumentation maintenance and construction work
  • Complete shop duties as requested; clean up, organization, parts, yard, trucks etc.
  • Load and unload work trucks as per job requirements, as requested
  • Respectfully take guidance and training from Journeymen
  • Adhere to all company and client health and safety guidelines and regulations
  • Ensure paperwork is completed in a timely and legible fashion; follow JM guidelines
  • Ask questions, learn, be open to growth and attend technical training as required

  • Trouble shoot and install motor VFD/PLC relay logic power and controls
  • Read engineered drawings to accurately and efficiently install electrical systems
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues including but not limited to; motors, VFD’s, lighting circuits, control circuits, fire and gas detection, transmitters, analyzers and pumps
  • Read and redline electrical drawings
  • Install tray and conduit systems
  • Cut in, gland and terminate tech cables
  • Understand and interpret Canadian electrical code
  • Scope and order material for small projects and daily work
  • Respectfully mentor and guide apprentices; lead by example
  • Adhere to all company and client health and safety guidelines and regulations
  • Ensure paperwork is completed timely and legibly; complete QA/QC documentation
