Compare used gas generator listings from NexSource's Red Deer yard. Ask for the current hours, condition and gas requirements, then get a written price for the specific unit you want to buy.

These listings identify used natural-gas stock and are drawn from the same inventory as the parent Used Generators for Sale page. A listing may cover several units or a mix of used and new surplus. Ask which serial-numbered unit the price and hours apply to.

Listing details are a starting point for the enquiry. Confirm the current meter reading, exact configuration, equipment included and availability in the written quote.
Two generators with the same kW rating can have very different histories. Start with the current hours since new, then the date and meter reading of any overhaul. Ask what the work covered and whether the records are available.
Check the engine and alternator data plates against the quote. Ask about cooling-system condition, fuel-train work, controller configuration and the package's previous operating duty. An overhaul description does not establish that every component was rebuilt.
A load-bank run can help you assess output, temperatures and electrical behaviour under agreed conditions. Ask about the load and duration before arranging a visit. NexSource's load-bank fleet provides a starting point for that discussion.
Send the gas analysis or utility specification, pressure and available flow. Confirm the fuel train and engine settings against the supply at your site, including any conditioning equipment required.
Match voltage, phase and frequency to the site's equipment. Include large motors, starting methods and loads added later; the running kW total alone does not settle generator selection.
State whether the set will provide continuous site power, prime power or occasional standby. Confirm the applicable rating and output for your fuel, altitude and ambient conditions.
Identify transfer equipment, protection and the connection point. If the unit must parallel with existing generators or the utility, provide the details so compatibility and approvals can be reviewed.
If the site relies on delivered gas, review CNG for temporary power generation and provide the proposed supply specification with your enquiry. Natural-gas capability alone does not confirm a particular CNG installation.
Name the unit you want, or send the operating requirements if you are still comparing. Ask for the generator price and the scope around it to be identified in writing.
Confirm whether the quoted sale includes the enclosure, trailer, breaker and controls shown in the listing. Agree separately on transport, installation, gas conditioning, electrical distribution and commissioning where needed.
Ask what inspection or test information is available, and confirm any sale terms or warranty in writing. A used listing does not establish a warranty, a delivery date or a refurbishment standard.
For different conditions, compare new, surplus and used gas generators. For another fuel, return to all used generators for sale.
The listings on this page are drawn from NexSource's sale inventory and include only gas generators whose descriptions identify used stock. Some listings cover both new-surplus and used units. Open the individual listing, then ask the sales team to confirm the specific unit available, its current hours and the purchase price.
NexSource prices the individual unit in a written quote. Capacity, hours, condition, overhaul records, voltage, controls, enclosure and the equipment included in the sale all affect the price. Send the model you are considering and the site's operating requirements so the quote covers the package you actually need.
No. A used generator has worked in service; a new-surplus unit may have been stored without entering service. Testing hours and storage age still matter on surplus equipment. A listing can cover units of both conditions, so confirm which serial-numbered unit is being offered. The parent Used Generators for Sale page also covers surplus equipment and diesel sets.
It depends on the engine and the gas. Provide a gas analysis, available pressure and flow, and your intended operating load. Moisture, contaminants, heating value and methane number can affect suitability, conditioning and output. A unit previously configured for utility gas should be checked against the proposed field-gas supply before purchase.
Confirm the fuel options for the exact unit. A natural-gas listing does not establish propane capability. CNG is a supply route for natural gas and requires suitable decompression and regulation before the engine inlet. The fuel specification, pressure, flow and package configuration must be checked before a CNG-fed installation is agreed.
Ask for the current hours since new, the meter reading when any major overhaul took place, and the work records supporting that overhaul. The difference between the two readings can help establish hours since that work, but it does not prove remaining engine life. Confirm what was replaced or inspected and what records are available for the generator end and cooling system.
Ask when you first enquire. NexSource has load banks in its equipment fleet, and an inspection or load-bank run can be discussed for the unit you are considering. The load, duration, test conditions, scope and any charges must be agreed before the visit. Ask for the results and the conditions under which they were measured.
NexSource operates from its Red Deer, Alberta yard. Send the destination with your enquiry so collection, transport and any site work can be discussed. Confirm those arrangements, the equipment included and any applicable sale terms in the written quote. Call (403) 887-4567 to ask about a listing.
Tell us which used natural gas generator you are considering and where it will run. Include the voltage, duty, fuel supply and required date. The sales team can confirm availability and provide a written quote for the individual package.
