Power distribution services in Alberta.
Tell us what the site has to run and we will work out the rest of the path from the source to the load: panels, transfer switching, transformers and cable, sized together, delivered from Red Deer and set out where the job needs them.
From the first load list to the last pickup.
Renting a panel is one decision. Getting power safely to every circuit on a site is a chain of them, and each one depends on the last. These are the steps we work through with you, in the order they happen.
- 01
Load review
We go through what the site has to run: the loads, the largest motor, the voltage it expects and how long the temporary supply has to last. That list drives every rating that follows.
- 02
Equipment selection
Panel size, number of circuits, transfer switching and any voltage conversion are chosen against the source and the load list, so the package arrives as one matched set rather than parts ordered separately.
- 03
Layout and cable runs
Where the generator sits, where the panels go and how far the feeders travel. Distance changes cable size, so a rough site sketch at this stage saves a second delivery later.
- 04
Delivery and placement
Equipment is dispatched from Red Deer and set where the layout puts it. Access, ground conditions and any lift requirements are worth mentioning before the truck is booked.
- 05
Connection, permits and testing
Agreed in writing before delivery. On some jobs your electrical contractor terminates, permits and tests; on others that work is arranged within the package. Either way, the quote names who does what.
- 06
Changes and pickup
Loads grow, phases finish and shutdowns run long. Tell us when the site changes and the package can be resized, extended or collected at the end of the job.
Rental gear, chosen as a set.
Distribution panels
Rental panels from 30 A to 1,200 A to split the supply into protected circuits.

Automatic for sites that must restore themselves, manual where a planned changeover is the job.

Step-up or step-down when the source voltage and the site voltage do not match. Sized in kVA and quoted with the package.

Diesel and natural gas generators if the site needs one, or distribution only if you already have a suitable supply.

Jobs that need more than a single cord.
Construction sites
Temporary supply for trailers, tools, heat and lighting before the permanent service is energized, with the layout changing as the build moves.
Construction site powerPlanned shutdowns
Switchgear work, a service upgrade or a utility interruption on a known date. The source, switching and changeover can be set up and tested before power goes off.
Plan the changeoverWaiting on a utility connection
A new building or expansion that is ready before the grid is. Temporary distribution carries the site until the permanent service is live.

When power is already down, the same equipment goes out on the emergency side, with dispatch available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

A single-line drawing is ideal, but most quotes start from less. If a rating or a distance is unknown, say so and it can be confirmed before anything is booked.
Site and access
Location, site contact and anything that limits where a truck or trailer can go.
Loads
Equipment to be supplied, nameplate ratings and the largest motors.
Voltage and source
Site voltage, and the generator or existing supply if there is one.
Distances
Source to panels, and panels to the furthest loads.
Dates
When power is needed, how long for, and any fixed shutdown window.

Power distribution services, answered.
What is included in power distribution services?
The planning and logistics around the equipment as well as the equipment itself: reviewing the loads, choosing panels, switching and any transformer, working out cable runs, delivering and placing the package, and collecting it when the job ends. Connection, permits and testing are agreed per job and written into the quote.
How is this different from renting distribution equipment?
A straight rental suits a site that already knows exactly what it needs. Distribution services suit a site that has a load and a deadline but has not yet worked out panel sizes, cable lengths or how the changeover will work. The equipment is the same; the difference is how much of the planning we do with you.
Do you do the electrical connection?
It depends on the job, and it is settled at quote time. Some sites have an electrical contractor who terminates, permits and tests the temporary installation. On others, that work can be arranged as part of the package. Tell us which applies when you call so the quote reflects it.
Can you work with a generator we already have?
Yes. Distribution panels, transfer switches and transformers are quoted on their own. Send the generator's output and voltage along with the load list and cable distances so the equipment matches the source.
What areas do you serve?
Equipment is dispatched from Red Deer to sites across Alberta, including Calgary, Edmonton, Grande Prairie and Drayton Valley. Delivery timing depends on the location, the equipment and the site access.
How is it priced?
Per job, in writing. Equipment ratings, rental term, cable lengths, transport and any connection work agreed in the scope all affect the price. Talking through the load and sizing costs nothing.
Plan the distribution before the delivery date.
Send the load list and a rough layout and we will come back with the equipment, the scope and a written quote.
