Rent gas generation for production loads, planned shutdowns and the wait for utility power. Compare NexSource's rental fleet, then send your load list and gas specification for a package quoted around your site.
Equipment dispatched from Red Deer. Rental dates, operating duty, fuel suitability and delivery are confirmed in your quote.

These listings show natural-gas rental packages rated at 100 kW and above. Each unit's listing carries its own fuel, voltage and offer details. The output shown is a listed equipment rating; the team confirms the appropriate duty rating and site capacity before booking.

A rental listing does not reserve a unit for your dates. For smaller loads and the complete gas and propane range, browse all natural gas generator rentals.
Supply pumps, process equipment and site services where a suitable gas source is available. Specify the operating hours and the largest motor start so the package is assessed for the full duty cycle.
Prime power rentals →Keep agreed loads supplied while switchgear, a transformer or the permanent generator is being worked on. Plan the isolation, transfer arrangement and commissioning sequence with the site's electrical team.
Standby power arrangements →Rent generation while the site waits for electrical service or an upgrade. Share the expected energization date and extension risk so the rental, fuel supply and maintenance plan cover the likely term.
Temporary and gap power →Assess a larger gas package or several coordinated sets for a substantial industrial load. Define usable capacity, staged load increases and the power that must remain available during maintenance.
Megawatt power rentals →An industrial rental may run for a shift, several weeks or through a long utility delay. The generator needs a suitable gas supply throughout that term, at the pressure, flow and quality required by its engine.
For field gas, provide an analysis before the equipment is selected. NexSource lists inlet fuel gas scrubbers; conditioning and regulation depend on the actual supply. Utility gas also needs a capacity check at the tie-in.
For delivered gas, review CNG for temporary power generation. Fuel delivery, storage and decompression are included only where confirmed in writing. Diesel rentals are another option where the proposed gas supply does not fit the job.
Send running kW or kVA, the largest motors, their starting method and any variable-speed drives. Include load steps and equipment that will be added later.
Confirm voltage, phase and frequency, the connection point and the cable route. A single-line diagram helps identify switching, protection and transformation requirements.
Provide the gas analysis or utility specification, pressure and available flow at the proposed tie-in. Include seasonal changes and any existing regulation or conditioning.
State daily running hours, rental dates and acceptable downtime. Identify loads that need backup while a unit is serviced and the required reserve capacity.
The set is one part of the temporary installation. Identify how it connects, how it will be tested and who maintains power while service is carried out. Agree on equipment and responsibilities before mobilization.
Scope distribution panels and cable, transfer equipment and any transformer rental around the site's voltage and connection requirements.
Discuss load bank testing, planned service access and any reserve generator. NexSource provides generator service and maintenance; field support and maintenance cover are agreed for the site.
Give the expected term and extension risk when requesting rates. Selected listings identify rent-to-own options. If the load is becoming permanent, compare natural gas generators for sale with the rental proposal.
Compare the current rental listings on this page for output, voltage and fuel. NexSource lists NPI Series packages as well as larger Caterpillar and other gas generator packages. The quoted capacity depends on the selected unit's prime or standby rating, site conditions, gas specification and starting loads. Confirm availability for your rental dates before booking.
Ask for a package rated for the intended prime or continuous duty. Send the expected load profile, daily operating hours and project duration. A standby nameplate rating should not be used as an assumed continuous output. The rental scope should cover service intervals, maintenance access and any backup capacity needed while a unit is offline.
Some packages can use suitable field gas, subject to the exact engine and fuel system. Send a gas analysis and the available pressure and flow for review. Liquids, contaminants and changing gas composition affect the required conditioning and engine suitability. NexSource lists inlet fuel gas scrubbers for rental; the required scrubber and regulation are specified for the job.
The fleet includes a Cummins 200 kW package listed at 347/600 V, a CAT DG400 listed with 208–600 V output and other units with their own voltage specifications. Several NPI and larger CAT listings specify 480 V. Confirm the exact voltage, phase, capacity and connection with the rental team. A transformer can be scoped where required rather than assuming every unit reconnects to 600 V.
The NPI Series documents synchronising and load-sharing controls. A multi-generator rental still needs a design for the specific units, distribution, load steps and operating duty. Share the required running capacity and whether the site needs N+1 redundancy. Adding nameplate ratings together does not establish the usable capacity or redundancy of the completed system.
NexSource quotes the selected generator, rental term, transport and supporting equipment for the job. Operating hours, service requirements, distribution, transfer equipment and redundancy affect the scope. Include the cost of your gas supply and any conditioning or delivered-fuel equipment when comparing the total project cost. Request a written quote with your load list and dates.
Discuss a suitable delivered-CNG arrangement or a propane-capable package with the team. A CNG system requires a separately specified fuel supply, storage, decompression and delivery plan. These are included only where expressly confirmed in the written scope. Dual-fuel capability is identified on individual listings and must be checked for the selected unit.
